Allison & Chris

Alison and Chris, a special connect for us as I knew Alison as a child when her parents came into a restaurant that I managed and she is best friends with the daughter of one of my best friends! Unfortunately her dad passed away but he was there in spirit and a poem he wrote for this day was read during the ceremony. Alison and Chris chose Elm Pointe on Lake Charlevoix as the lake is her and their happy place. Lauren Pethers a long time close friend captured their day and what a day it was! Alison chose soft seating and some of my favorite linens to make her guests feel at home. The food was fabulous and offered at gorgeous stations with dessert being Alison’s recipe for ricotta cheese donut holes with dipping sauces (yum). It rained and rained that day with only a little respite allowing just about enough time for family and wedding party pictures. Alison and Chris are the poster children for not allowing something you can’t control, control your day! After the ‘punt’ to set up the ceremony in the tent instead of the lakeside Alison and Chris said it was perfect and even more intimate than they could have imagined and the glow of the tent with their family and friends took care of even knowing it was raining.
